| Landscape Architecture Urban Design Ecology NJL Consultants (formerly Nicol Jones & Lomax) is a multi-disciplinary environmental practice offering landscape, urban design & ecological consultancy services to private and public clients. It was established as a partnership in 1987.
Our office is located in lronbridge in east Shropshire close to the motorway network and within easy reach of the Midlands and Wales.
The Practice's full time professional staff are fully qualified and experienced in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or Ecological Science, backed up by administrative staff and modern computer-aided design, graphic and geographical information systems.
Our range of experience covers a full range of landscape work, from parks and recreation, transport routes and industrial areas, housing and nursing homes, schools and sports facilities to historic landscapes. Ecological work includes habitat survey, protected species survey, ecological assessment, the design of mitigation proposals, habitat creation and Environmental Clerk of Works services for ecologically sensitive construction sites. Public clients include many County, District and Metropolitan Borough Councils, the Environment Agency, English Heritage, English Nature and English Partnerships. Private clients include nursing home providers, housing developers, land agents, private trusts, planning, architectural, and engineering consultants, construction companies and private individuals.
The practice has been involved with a number of prestigious landscape schemes including the £90m Black Country Spine Road, the award winning 450 acre Town Park in Telford, Shropshire and the restoration of the historic park and gardens at Witley Court, Worcestershire for English Heritage.
